About Austin Powell
Austin is a former top amateur golfer, playing golf at the University of Pennsylvania. Austin had a decorated college career, culminating in winning Ivy League Player of the year in 2015.
After graduating college, Austin played on various mini-tours until landing a job with the Los Angeles Kings organization. Over the next 6 years Austin worked for 3 NHL franchises, including the Columbus Blue Jackets and Florida Panthers. Austin helped in the creation of the hockey analytics departments of these organizations, helping the management and coaching staff make informed and data-driven decisions.
Recently, Austin has shifted towards golf analytics, helping golfers get the most out of their games. Using the tools and analysis he learned in hockey, a background in computer science, and applying his background of golf has led to analysis that can transform anyone's game.
